Insight in Huma
How many did we hire this year? How is our gender balance? How many people are we right now? With Huma you get quick and easy access to key numbers about your organisation.
In Huma, the “Insights” feature provides quick access to critical HR metrics and demographic data for your organization. With Insights, you can view essential statistics such as employee headcount, new hires, age distribution, gender balance, nationalities, and employment status—either across the entire company or for specific teams
In Huma you can easily find key figures about your employee demographics
- Age distribution
- Gender distribution
- Average age
- Nationalities
- Number of employees
- Number of new employees (this year)
- ... and more

Required role to handle the insight module
User role
Insights permission can be granted within a user role, allowing access to specific team, location, or organization data. This permission enables you to view insights related to the members of the designated group you are authorized to access.
System role
To access Insights through a system role, you must have a "system role" that grants full access to the Insights module. This role allows you to view detailed statistics about the users within your organization.
What the numbers are based on
Everyone with their employment start date in the past and employment end date in the future are included.
When an employment start date is missing, it will be interpreted as a date in the past and the future, respectively.
Exclude users from Insights
Users with a "System role with Full access to Users" can exclude users from insights.
- Go to the "People module"
- Click on the employee you want to exclude
- Navigate to the "three dots" in the top right corner
- Click "Exclude from Insights"
List users who are excluded from Insights
You can now access a list of employees who have been excluded from Insights.
- Go to the "Insights module"
- Navigate to "What are the numbers based on"
- CClick on "x users are excluded" to view the list of excluded users
General questions about insights
Are the insights updated automatically?
Yes, the analytics within insights are updated automatically and available real time. However, sometimes it might take a few minutes for the data to sync. Note that only users with the right permissions can use this module.
Can analytics be exported?
No, but feel free to take a screenshot of the statistics and send out as a report. Note that only users with the right permissions can use this module.

Is there a way to create custom dashboards or reports?
Not at this time, but we are working on more features and will update as the roadmap is available. If there's something you need that we don't offer today, you can register your request on our roadmap.
Is is possible to retrieve data from previous periods?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrieve historical data from Huma. Currently, you can only generate reports based on real-time data.
