You can now organize employees across different companies directly in Huma. That means you can:

✅ Connect each company to its own payroll system or other integrations

✅ Share processes, templates, Handbook content, news across all companies in the organization

Set up multiple integrations and manage group connections

If your Huma account has multiple companies, multiple teams or multiple locations, you can now create separate integration connections for each group. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process. The setup is the same for all integrations.

How to set up an integration connection

  1. Go to the Integration module in Huma.

  2. Find the integration you want to connect and click Set up in the upper-right corner.

    • 💡 Tip: Give the connection a name that clearly identifies the group you are configuring.

  3. Click Group and select the correct group from the list.

    • By "Group" we mean "Companies", "Locations" and/or "Teams".
  4. Click Continue and enter the required credentials and configuration details.

    • Each integration has its own configuration. For instructions on generating credentials, see the relevant integration article in our Knowledge Base.

    • Make sure the credentials match the group you’re connecting.

    • Example: The group “Company X” in Huma should connect to the Company X Tripletex account.

  5. Save your settings.

  6. Select Sync user to activate the integration.

If you already have an integration set up, you can add another one by opening the Integration module, selecting the integration, and clicking New connection.

Which users are included in the sync

When you set up the integration for a specific group, only users within that group will be included.

As a result, if you update a supported field for an employee who is not part of the selected group, those changes will not be synchronized.

Where can I view an overview of all my integration connections?

You can find an overview of all your integration connections on the Integrations page within the Integration module in Huma.

  1. Go to the "Integration module"
  2. Select the integration you wish to review
  3. You will see the number of connections, which represents all your configured connection.
  4. Select the integration to expand it and view a list of all your active connections. This list also displays the group each instance is connected to

Can an employee belong to multiple companies?

Yes, employees can be part of multiple companies – helpful for shared resources or cross-company roles.

Will all integrations support multiple connections / instances?

Yes - you can set up as many connections as you’d like. This is supported by all our integrations. Updates for each employee will then be pushed to the integrations these employees are connected to.

We have our companies in different Huma accounts today - can we transfer and start using the new structure?

No - unfortunately. You can export people and import them into the Huma account you want to use. And you can export / import templates. But it will be a manual process.

Is it possible to decide how much employees can see about other employees

Yes, you can decide what permissions users can have on other employees or themselves.

Can I share content between the different companies in the same Huma account?

Yes - if you create companies within the same Huma account you will be able to share news, HB content, documents and assign tasks, processes, etc to different companies.

We use different payroll systems for each company. Is that supported?

Yes. In integrations, you can set up multiple connections to the same system, and tie each connection to a specific group – giving you better control over what data is synchronized where.

What if we don’t want our employees to see other employees in other companies

Then you need to divide those companies into different Huma accounts.

Can I structure my companies, teams or locations hierarchically?

No, not yet. This might come as an update later.
