Change email address
To ensure that employees receive important communication and access to systems, it is essential that their email addresses are kept up to date.

How to change email
- Go to the "People module"
- Click on the user whose email address you wish to update
- Navigate to "About"
- Go to "Intro" and click "Edit"
- Fill out the new email address and click "Save" and "Confirm change"
- A notification email will be sent out to the old address.
- A confirmation email will be sent out to the new address, which the employee must confirm. Once it´s confirmed, the email will change on the employee profile card.

On the profile card, the "email" field is linked to the login, not the "personal email field".

Huma will continue to use the old address until the new one is confirmed.
- When migrating to a new domain, please follow the recommended sequence of steps to prevent your new email address from being blacklisted and ensure a smooth transition.

Resend confirmation email
If your employee did not confirm the first confirmation email, you can always send a new one.
- Go to the "People module"
- Click on the user whose email address you wish to update
- Navigate to "About"
- Go to "Intro" and you will see a yellow notification window
- Click "Resend confirmation email"
- A notification email will be sent out to the old address.

Required role to change email address
To change an email in Huma, you need a System role with "full access over Users".
- Go to "Settings"
- Navigate to "Roles" and "System roles"
- Click on the System role you want to assign and "Add grant"
- Add grant to the user and click "Grant access"
- Employees can only edit the field "Personal email address"
