What are modules?
Modules are the main sections of Huma, such as Absence, Documents, Surveys and Deviations. Each module provides dedicated functionality that you can enable or disable depending on what your organisation needs.
Within each module there are also individual features that can be turned on or off separately, for example specific document types, survey types or import/export functionality.
💡 When you disable a module or a feature, no data is lost. All content and functionality is simply hidden until the module is re-enabled.
💡 You can find the modules in the left menu in Huma.

Enable or disable a module or feature
- Go to System settings
- Click "Modules"
- Find the module or feature you want to change
- Toggle it on or off
💡Some modules and features are locked and cannot be disabled. These are always included in your subscription and are marked accordingly.
💡 Some modules and features are only available on certain subscription plans. If a module shows an upgrade prompt, contact your customer success manager or Huma support to learn more.

FAQ
Can I enable a module only for specific employees or groups?
No. Modules are enabled or disabled for the entire organisation. You can however control who has access to a module's content by using roles and permissions.
Will disabling a module delete our data?
No. Disabling a module hides all content and functionality, but no data is deleted. Re-enabling the module will restore everything as it was.
Some modules are greyed out — why?
A greyed out module is either not included in your current subscription plan, or it requires another module to be enabled first. Contact your customer success manager or Huma support for more information.
