This is how the activity log works

The Activity log in Huma lets you see all changes made in the system — whether by people, integrations, or the system itself. This is a powerful tool for HR and Admin users to track important updates and maintain transparency.

What You Can See

  • All recorded changes: Includes updates to users, roles, permissions, integrations, competencies, and more.

  • Actor: Who performed the action (person, integration, or system).

  • Target: Who or what the action was performed on.

  • Category: Type of change (e.g., Users, Roles, Integrations).

  • Link to the item: Each entry links to the changed object for further review.

Note: The Activity log does not display the full content of the change — only the item affected and a link to view more details.

Access Requirements

To see the Activity log, your role must have full access to the system permission:

Filtering options

You can filter the Activity log by:

  1. Date range – view changes in a specific time period.

  2. Category – type of change (Users, Roles, Integrations, etc.).

  3. Actor – who made the change.

  4. Concerned user/item – who or what the change was about.

Filter by Users category and date range covering their first week.

  • Monitor system automation updates
Filter by System as the actor to see automated changes (e.g., integrations or scheduled updates).

  • Export logs periodically for archival or compliance purposes.

  • Use the log when investigating disputes or verifying task completion.
