Reconnect Huma to NAV 3.0 before June
Altinn 2.0 shuts down in June. Every Huma customer needs to reconnect to NAV through Altinn 3.0 before then — Don't worry — it only takes about 3 minutes.
Reconnect Huma to NAV / Altinn integration before June to keep it active.
How to reconnect
- Open Huma and go to Settings → Integrations → Altinn / NAV.
- Click "Reauthorize" on the banner at the top.
- Approve it in Altinn. If you're the CEO (or have "Tilgangsstyring"), click Go to Altinn and approve with BankID.
- Done. Back in Huma, the status should turn green: "Active".

Why this is happening
NAV is moving to a new system called Altinn 3.0. The old system (Altinn 2.0) is being shut down.
Your existing connection runs on the old system. To keep things working, you swap it for a new one — a system user in Altinn 3.0. Think of it as a fresh key that lets Huma keep talking to NAV.
What you need
- Admin access in Huma
- Someone at your company with the "Tilgangsstyring" (Access Manager) role in Altinn — usually the CEO. This can be you or a colleague.
- BankID
What happens if you wait too long
When Altinn is shutting down their old API:
- New sick leave notifications won't come into Huma
Everything resumes once you reconnect.
Common questions
When exactly is the deadline?
In June. Reconnect and you're good.
I'm the CEO — can I do this alone?
Yes. CEOs have "Tilgangsstyring" in Altinn by default.
I'm in HR, not the CEO. What do I do?
You should either get the correct permissions in NAV or ask the one who has admin access in NAV to set it up.
Do I need to do this for each company?
Yes. Reauthenticate all your NAV connections in Huma.
Should I delete the old connection?
No. You can just reauthenticate and it will use the new authentication through Altinn 3.0.
We don't have anyone on sick leave right now. Can we wait?
Don't. The moment anyone files a sick leave or NAV sends an update, an inactive connection will block it.
What about the old access that were given?
You can remove the old access you have given Huma in Altinn, since we now are given them through the new authorization.
