A support team that understands Norwegian working life: Cares' way into Huma

Cares delivers cleaning and facility management services to both the public and private sector across the country. With more than 1,000 employees and growing, they’re on quite the journey. We were curious to hear how their start with Huma has been, so we sat down with CEO Ghazi for a chat.

Usually when we create customer cases, we talk to a customer who has been using Huma for a while and is very familiar with the system. This time we thought we'd do it a little differently. Because Cares hasn't been using Huma for that long - they're actually brand new users. So why are we talking to them already? Because we're curious about how they've experienced the introduction of Huma.

Ghazi Khder Jezdin is the CEO of Cares. He and his team work with the B2B market in both the public and private sectors, and their services span almost the entire country. Now they've started using Huma, we caught up with Ghazi to find out what it's been like so far.

 Industry: Cleaning and canteen
 Size: Approximately 1,000 employees
Location: Vestfold, Oslo, Akershus, Østfold, Vestland, Agder, Rogaland

Had a system that worked, but not optimally

Before Cares started with Huma, they used a different system. "It worked, but it wasn't quite optimal for our needs," says Ghazi. "Many processes were more time-consuming than necessary, and the usability wasn't up to scratch. This led to a lot of manual tasks that could have been automated - and less time for what really matters: the employees. And it's nice to save as much time as possible on manual processes when you can spend it on over 1,000 employees.

"We wanted a more modern, user-friendly and flexible HR system that could bring together as many of our HR processes as possible in one place."

That's when Cares began the search for a better fit. "We wanted a more modern, user-friendly and flexible HR system that could bring together as many of our HR processes as possible in one place," says Ghazi. The goal is to simplify everyday life for the HR department and management with a system that understands large, Nordic companies.

"The support was great!"

Ghazi says they considered several options, but settled on Huma for several reasons. He highlights the combination of an intuitive and clear system with good functionality. But what really tipped the scales in Huma's favor was the follow-up.

"The support was great," says Ghazi. He goes on to say that the CS team has always been easily accessible and helpful throughout the process. "We always got answers quickly, good advice and close follow-up from the first start-up meeting and all the way until we were fully operational!"

Short way from start to finished implementation

The transition from the old system to Huma was much easier and faster than Ghazi could have imagined. "Although we were a little worried about switching HR systems with so many employees, we were quickly reassured," he says, adding that it was clear where to start and that they were given clear 'next steps' throughout the process.

"We felt like we were really up and running after a few weeks." And that's right - Cares began implementing Huma in April 2025, and by June it had already been rolled out to the entire company. The HR department started using the system immediately, and shortly afterwards, both management and most of the employees followed suit.

Everyday life was simplified with the Huma effect - something Cares noticed very quickly. "The system has saved us a lot of time, given us a better overview and made our HR processes more efficient," says Ghazi before we finish our conversation. We really appreciate that, Ghazi! We're looking forward to the future - and cheering you on!
