Marja Tikkanen is the HR Director at Fluxio Group. They offer property management services, and with 250 employees, it’s no wonder that an HR system makes Marja’s job a little more manageable. We sat down with her for a chat about what it’s been like to implement and use Huma.Company name: Fluxio Group

Clarity and ease of use tipped the scales in Huma’s favor
There was a need to find one HR system for the whole company when Marja started. With around 150 employees that time, it was no surprise that it was difficult to keep track of everyone without help from a one digital platform. They are also split up in multiple teams so they needed a place where they could have everyone under one big umbrella, but split into several groups.
They did a lot of research and explored several competing HR systems, and were looking for a modern solution that aligned with their core values—openness, quality, teamwork, development, and responsibility. Huma turned out to be that solution.

“Huma stood out with its clarity and ease of use”
– Marja Tikkanen
“Huma stood out with its clarity and ease of use, as well as its transparent pricing,” says Marja. She adds that it’s important for them to keep internal information up to date without wasting unnecessary time. Huma’s News and Handbook modules have definitely helped with that.
We ask Marja about her experience implementing Huma. “Very easy. We received clear instructions and support from Huma for implementation,” she says, adding that an answer to a question is never far away, and that she appreciates how ideas for further development of the HR system are accepted and put into production.
Features that boost communication and information flow
Fluxio Group has been using Huma for about a year and a half, and Marja and her colleagues have gotten to know the system well. They especially love three features—because good communication and information flow are their top priorities.
The News Module help them keep internal information fresh and up to date with regular news updates.
In their efforts to foster good communication, Fluxio and Marja encourage everyday dialogue. “We value interaction and actively use the Meetings Module,” she says, highlighting how strong interaction is connected to job satisfaction, productivity, engagement—and even the customer experience.
The third feature Marja mentions is the Digital Handbooks Module. It saves teams time answering questions, helps new and existing employees learn internal routines and guidelines—while also being a great tool for building company culture.
That is just music to our ear, being huge fans of good communication and culture building ourselves. We’re thrilled to hear that Huma supports Fluxio Group in those areas. Thanks for the chat, Marja! Now, we look forward to seeing how Huma can keep making a difference in the future.
